We had a visit from Warwickshire Fire Service. They came to talk to us about the importance of fire safety in the home. We learned all about smoke alarms, making an emergency escape plan and checking for fire hazards at home.
At the end, we were given a fire safety leaflet with loads of fun activities to do. Also a questionnaire to fill in at home.
We would like to say a huge thank you to the men who came in for doing such a brilliant job in keeping us safe!
Year 5 have been enjoying music lessons and have been playing the Caribbean steel pans.
We started by learning the different notes and experimenting with the different sound the instrument can make. Then we were taught to pay some famous tunes.
So far we have learned to play 'London's burning', 'Frere Jaques' and 'little brown jug'.
