On behalf of the staff, pupils, parents and governors of Whitnash Primary School, I would like to warmly welcome you to our school website.

The purpose of our website is to give visitors an insight into the work of our school, celebrate our children’s achievements and provide you with useful information about our school.

I feel immensely proud to have been appointed from January 2016 to the position of Headteacher of Whitnash Primary School. I am very excited about the prospect of developing and growing a school which is absolutely committed to enriching the lives and education of all its pupils.

I have exceptionally high aspirations and expectations for our school and am passionate about ensuring that the very best learning opportunities are provided for all our children, so that we inspire in them a love of learning!

At Whitnash Primary School we want all children to achieve the best that they can so that each and every child fulfils their true potential.  We are therefore passionate about providing an ‘inclusive’ education for all children and committed to the development of the whole-child.

The importance of a values education, the development of children’s social and emotional aspects of learning, encouraging pupil creativity and the effort to provide meaningful curriculum enrichment opportunities, feature as highly in our school development plan as the other essential academic achievements.  This is because we believe that these are essential elements of effective teaching and learning, and crucial to enabling children to grow into successful, resilient and well-adjusted citizens.

Our school is also committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.  We work diligently to ensure that all our children are safe and secure, and therefore ready and able to learn.

Whitnash Primary School already serves many families from Whitnash and the surrounding areas. However, I am proud to announce that our school now boasts two brand new state-of-the-art classrooms!  It is our intention that this new provision will enable us to grow in capacity and provide for many more primary age pupils in the local area.

As parents, you are the first educators of your child and so we actively seek and value your contribution and commitment in working with us to give your child the best education that we can.
