Welcome to Holly & Ivy Class 2019/20
The Reception children have settled in amazingly well and are really enjoying school life. They have been super busy... making cakes in the mud kitchen, playing at being doctors and vets in the role play area, exploring Autumn during forest school, writing shopping lists and recipes for mud pies, practicing their counting and letter formation and generally having lots of fun!

Pancake Day!
Reception had such fun being detectives and finally solved the crime...the porridge thief was Miss Gilfillan!
PC Gotcha came to arrest Miss Gilfillan, however he decided to forgive her and give her one more chance!
One Wednesday after school we had a porridge thief! The children came into school on Thursday morning and discovered the
crime scene in the Three Bears cottage role play area.
All morning they looked for
clues and investigated who the porridge thief is. We have five suspects who were seen in the class at the time of the crime.
The children will be interviewing them to try and solve the crime!
They were busy gathering evidence by
measuring footprints and hand prints,
taking finger prints and writing WANTED posters!
The children hoped to solve the crime soon!
