Healthy Schools Week
Kicking off our Healthy Schools Week with a talk on nutrition and exercise from
Mr Mulherne from Fit4Schools.
Healthy Schools Week was an amazing success!
Here’s just a few of the things we have done at Whitnash this week:
- Children wore PE kit all day, every day.
- Sports Day was on Thursday and was a great competitive event.
- Children completed a Daily Mile on the field every day.
- Parents and families joined the children and completed another Daily Mile after school, every day on the field.
- Children completed a Daily Dance, which the whole school performed together on the field on Friday. This looked incredible!
- Many families made the effort to walk part of the way to, or from, school
- Frisbee Friday!!
- Circuit training in PE, led by our visiting Sports Team.
- Children tracked their exercise in their activity trackers and won awards for taking part.
What a great week!
Frisbee Friday
Every child in the school received a Whitnash Frisbee to take home and we’ve taught them how to use it!
We’re hoping this new skill and equipment will get families more active and give them an excuse to get out of the house to take advantage of the lovely outdoor spaces we have around Whitnash!

Warwickshire Cricket
Chance to Shine
We were delighted to have
Warwickshire Cricket Board in school this
week to provide an introduction to cricket
to some of our children.
Those children who want to play more are
being signposted to local cricket clubs,
where they are joining the junior teams!
